Hong Kong is rising to be a hot destination of exchange student in the world. According to the data from QS Best student cities Index, Hong Kong is rising to be the 8thplace of ideal exchange place in the world.
The rising number of exchange programs brought the new problem of overcoming culture shock and adapting different life style for these exchange students. The new life experience sometime provides them not only the feeling of freshness, but it also would bring loneliness for them to face.
“I have some local friends, but we don’t contact each other after the class.” Matthew said. The daily routines of Matthew can reflect the situation of exchange student in Hong Kong’s Universities. “I do laundry myself, go to class myself, eat with other exchange student in BU and play video games with friends back home.”
